Jason Bush
Jason Bush is the Office Services and Reprographics Manager in our Facilities and Operations team. He joined the firm in 2019.
MY DAY-TO-DAY
As Office Services and Reprographics Manager, I am responsible for overseeing a wide range of operational functions that are key to the day-to-day running of the firm, including the Facilities Help Desk, the General Office and Courier services and the Reprographics department. I am also responsible for several supplier contracts and off-site archiving, with a strong focus on contract management, compliance, and cost efficiency.
Both the Office Services and Reprographics teams work collaboratively across all areas of the firm, including with the legal teams and other business service departments. It’s essential that we work closely with all groups to ensure seamless support and responsiveness. This high level of interaction fosters a strong culture of collaboration, enabling us to deliver efficient, high-quality service that meets the diverse needs of the firm.
My role is incredibly varied and dynamic — no two days are the same. It’s both challenging and rewarding, and I take pride in contributing to a workplace that values professionalism, teamwork and continuous improvement.
WORKING COLLABORATIVELY
I have been with Slaughter and May for nearly five years now and have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the firm. Having previously worked in another legal firm, I’ve found the culture at Slaughter and May to be distinctly different — more inclusive, collaborative, and welcoming – which has contributed to my development. Despite being a large firm, it has successfully retained a sense of closeness and community, which makes it a genuinely enjoyable place to work.
The working environment encourages strong collaboration across both legal and Business Services teams, and I’ve found colleagues to be supportive and engaged at all levels. The firm promotes high standards across the board, whether in legal practice or business operations, and that expectation drives a culture of excellence.

COLLECTIVE ENDEAVOUR IN ACTION
The highly collaborative culture was particularly evident during the recent refurbishment project — a significant and complex undertaking that impacted every area of the firm. Managing such a large-scale refurbishment while the building remained fully operational presented considerable challenges, requiring coordination, flexibility, and teamwork across all departments.
As we near the completion of the project, it’s clear that the success of this initiative has been achieved by the collective effort of everyone involved. It has been one of the most memorable and rewarding experiences of my time at the firm, and a true reflection of the collaborative spirit that defines Slaughter and May.
MY ADVICE TO CANDIDATES
To anyone considering a career at Slaughter and May, my advice would be absolutely go for it. Before joining, I had been planning a completely different career path. Accepting the role here turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made.
