Finance Team of the Year - The Lawyer Awards 2013

Slaughter and May won Finance Team of the Year at this year's The Lawyer Awards.

The firm won this award for its work advising Drax Group on a secured committed financing to support the Drax Group's transformation into a predominantly biomass-fuelled electricity generator.

The Lawyer Awards 2013 judges said the deal was "an impressive transaction involving finance counterparties with differing interests funding a transaction with a significant risk profile".
