Slaughter and May Partner seconded to the Takeover Panel for two years

Hemita Sumanasuriya, a partner at Slaughter and May, is to be seconded to the Takeover Panel as Secretary for two years, with effect from 25 September 2023.

In this role, he will be working closely with the other senior case officers of the Panel Executive and the rest of the Panel’s permanent and seconded staff. He will join the Panel at a fascinating time and in the aftermath of various significant rule changes and consultations on the Takeover Code.

This is the second Partner Panel secondment undertaken by the firm, following Partner David Watkins’ secondment from January 2006 to January 2008.
