Slaughter and May Partner seconded to the Takeover Panel for two years

David Watkins, a partner at Slaughter and May since 1 May 2005, is to be seconded to the Takeover Panel as a Secretary from January 2006 until January 2008.

In this role he will be working closely with the Director General and the rest of the permanent and seconded staff at a challenging and interesting time for the Panel as it deals with implementation of the Takeover Directive.

This is the first Panel secondment undertaken by the firm.
