Slaughter and May receives highest score for Government work - FT Innovative Lawyers 2009
Slaughter and May received the highest score for innovation in the Government category in this year's FT Innovative Lawyers Report.
The firm was ranked for its work advising the Government, alongside HM Treasury Legal Advisers, on the banking crisis, in particular:
- the blueprint for Europe-wide crisis intervention measures including the recapitalisation schemes and the Asset-backed Securities Guarantee Scheme
- the transfer of Dunfermline Building Society, Bradford & Bingley and Northern Rock into different hands
- solutions to the Icelandic banking collapse
Slaughter and May was also commended for Dispute Resolution, Financial Services and Client Service.
