Slaughter and May's fourth, and most successful, African Symposium

Slaughter and May hosted its fourth annual Practical and Legal Exchange African Symposium (PLEASe) in Accra, Ghana from 11 - 13 November. With delegates from European Best Friend firms, 39 African law firms from 24 African jurisdictions, and multi-national corporations and banks with interests in Africa, including Standard Chartered, Shell Nigeria and General Electric, this was one of the best attended symposiums to date reflecting the continuing success of this ground breaking event.

The two days of intense sessions covered a range of topics stimulating the exchange of views between the participants, enhancing legal, cultural, economic and political understanding of international and domestic issues faced in the different markets.
