Ed is a Partner in Slaughter and May’s Restructuring and Insolvency group. He has extensive experience advising corporates, lenders, investors and insolvency practitioners across a range of restructuring, refinancing and insolvency matters. 

Highlights include advising:  

  • Cineworld on its financial restructuring including the successful emergence of entities making up its US and UK and Irish businesses from their Chapter 11 cases and the pre-packaged administration of Cineworld Group plc 
  • Authentic Brands Group in connection with rescue financing and contingency planning in relation to its position as secured lender to the Ted Baker group  
  • Valaris, an industry leading offshore drilling service provider, on the implementation of its financial restructuring including its emergence from pre-arranged Chapter 11 cases and the pre-packaged administration of Valaris plc  
  • EY in connection with the pre-packaged administration of Interserve plc, which implemented its deleveraging plan 
  • A syndicate of secured lenders in relation to a co-living business which entered administration in 2021 
  • AlixPartners on contingency planning for the compulsory liquidation of Thomas Cook plc 
  • Credit Suisse in relation to the financial restructuring of Danaos Corporation
