Jamshed’s practice spans the full spectrum of UK corporate tax law, including transactional, contentious, and advisory matters.
On the transactional side, Jamshed regularly advises on both public and private M&A, capital markets transactions, joint ventures, and cross-border group reorganisations. He has extensive experience in restructuring and insolvency matters, advising on complex multi-jurisdictional restructurings and US Chapter 11 proceedings, as well as UK insolvency processes.
Jamshed also has significant experience advising clients on HMRC enquiries and tax disputes, including litigation through the UK courts and tax disputes and mutual agreement proceedings (MAP) with foreign tax authorities.

- Zurich Insurance on its £8.2bn takeover of Beazley, creating the global leader in specialty insurance
- NatWest on its £2.7bn acquisition of Evelyn Partners, creating the UK’s largest Private Banking and Wealth Management business
- AngloGold Ashanti, on its re-domiciliation to the UK from South Africa and NYSE listing, and subsequent £1.9bn acquisition of Centamin
- Global Infrastructure Partners on its €2bn data centre joint venture with ACS Group
- Cineworld on a range of transactions, including its $5.8bn reverse takeover of Regal Entertainment Group, $2.1bn acquisition of Cineplex, and subsequent US Chapter 11 proceedings
- Valaris on its US Chapter 11 proceedings and parallel English insolvency processes, including the restructuring of over $7bn of unsecured debt
- The Official Receiver in connection with the liquidation of entities connected with the Prax Lindsey Oil Refinery and the sale of the assets of the refinery to Phillips 66
- Interserve on its restructuring, and various corporate transactions, including the merger of Interserve Support Services with Mitie, and the sale of the RMD Kwikform group
