Slaughter and May is advising Arm on the sale of its Artisan physical IP products business

Slaughter and May is advising Arm Limited (Arm) on the sale of its Artisan physical IP products business to Cadence Design Systems, Inc. (Cadence). The transaction will see Cadence acquire Arm’s portfolio of standard cell libraries, memory compilers and general-purpose I/Os (GPIOs) for leading semiconductor fabrication process nodes and the associated foundry relationships and international expert engineering team.

The purchase agreement was signed in April 2025 and closing is subject to approvals and satisfaction of certain conditions.
