Slaughter and May is advising the major shareholders in Aston Martin Lagonda in respect of a £500 million equity raise
Slaughter and May is advising the major shareholders in Aston Martin Lagonda in connection with a £500 million equity raise, to be structured by way of a c.£182 million placing to a consortium led by Lawrence Stroll followed by a rights issue of c.£318 million. The equity raise was announced on 31 January 2020.
In connection with the equity raise, Mr. Stroll will join the board of Aston Martin Lagonda as executive chair and will provide c.£55 million of short-term working capital support to the company prior to the settlement of the placing. Aston Martin Lagonda will also partner with the Racing Point F1 team (controlled by Mr. Stroll) with effect from the 2021 season.
