Slaughter and May advised Google on the European Commission’s ‘Jedi Blue’ investigation

Slaughter and May advised Google in relation to the European Commission’s investigation into its agreement with Meta for online display advertising services (referred to as the ‘Jedi Blue’ agreement). The Commission announced in March 2022 that it had opened an investigation into whether the agreement was potentially in breach of the European competition rules. On 19 December 2022, the Commission announced that it had closed its investigation without finding any competition concerns.
