Slaughter and May is advising the John Lewis Partnership on the sale and leaseback of Waitrose stores

Slaughter and May is advising the John Lewis Partnership on the sale of 11 Waitrose stores to M&G Investments which completed on 21 December 2023. The stores have been leased back to Waitrose for a term of 20 years with options to extend. The stores in Chipping Sodbury, East Cowes, Exeter, Harpenden, Hythe, Longfield, Norwich, Richmond, Romsey, Welwyn Garden City and Wokingham will continue to be operated by Waitrose.
