Slaughter and May is advising Nucleus Financial Platforms, and HPS Investment Partners as a major shareholder of the Nucleus group, on its acquisition of Third Financial, a leading investment platform and wealth management software provider. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval.
Nucleus Financial Platforms is one of the UK’s largest adviser platform groups, with over £80bn of assets under administration from 250,000 customers. The acquisition is expected to increase the group’s platform assets under administration to approximately £90bn.
Headquartered in the UK, Third Financial is a leading investment platform and front-to-back wealth management software provider. Third Financial’s proprietary software will enhance Nucleus Financial Platforms’ “adviser-as-platform” proposition, and will enable Nucleus Financial Platforms to offer a full range of platform solutions to meet the needs of advisory and wealth firms.
