Slaughter and May, Hong Kong advised the Community College of City University (CCCU) on its strategic alliance with University of Wollongong, Australia.

CCCU is well recognized as a premier college in Hong Kong providing quality tertiary education for nearly 5,500 students. CCCU offers a wide range of Associate Degree (AD) programmes, a Diploma in General Studies, and International Language Proficiency Tests with preparatory courses. CCCU is a company limited by guarantee and has tax-exemption status under section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance.

University of Wollongong is a public, non-profit making university in Australia.

The transaction was subject to regulatory approval and was completed on 1 July 2015.
