Slaughter and May advised Moody’s on its acquisition of a majority stake in Vigeo Eiris

Slaughter and May advised Moody’s Corporation (Moody’s) on its acquisition of a majority interest in Vigeo Eiris (Vigeo).  The acquisition completed on 12 April 2019.

Vigeo is a global environmental, social and governance (ESG) research and assessments company, headquartered in Paris.  Vigeo will be an affiliate of Moody’s Investors Service and, with its sectoral experience and wide product offering, will assist Moody’s in its goal to become a standard setter with respect to ESG research and assessments.

Slaughter and May worked as an integrated team with Moody’s’ French counsel, Simmons & Simmons LLP, on the transaction.
